-My favorite Theo characterization is read is the same as my favorite to write! I love a Theo is a fun/funny, but with some darker/deeper layers. Above all - a good friend! Also pining is good
-I think Theo's favorite fruit is clementines. But also maybe bananas to be a troll to his friends/partner
-Favorite Theo pairing is the hardest!!! I love LoveNott, NottPott, and NottBottom the most I think -TO BE RICH!! But if he has to work, then I think Unspeakable

WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS!!??! A vicious question. I think I would have to go NottPott. There are a few reasons - 1) I find Luna harder to write than Harry 2) I'm a sucker for a Slytherin/Gryff romance, especially for Harry 3) If I knocked out NottPott, there would be no more NottPott Chronicles, which is one of my favorite series to read!

PANSY/LAVENDER aka THE FLOWER GIRLS!!!! Do you want my full dissertation on this ship?

There are countless reasons that I think Flower Girls (Pansy/Lavender) are the best ship! There are so many topics to be explored through them, from WLW relationships in the wizarding world and how that fits into pureblood ideals to Lavender dealing with the external and internal effects of her attack during the final battle to Pansy dealing with the consequences for all of her shitty actions. I appreciate that fanfic gives both of them actual depth instead of villainizing them for traditionally femme interests.


But mostly it is the flexibility they offer in their pairing, because they aren't as defined as other characters in canon. They can be enemies to lovers with high stakes! They could be friendly coworkers pining for each other! You could have a Slytherin/Gryffindor star-crossed lovers story! You could write all sorts of amazing AUs (like muggle coffee shop). Opportunities for snarky encounters that turn into flirty banter! I also love that through them there can be all sorts of fun side pairings (NottPott, Dramione, Blinny, etc etc)

There are only 73 fics on AO3 right now and I want so many more!!!!

LOL you've given me a headcanon. Theo never had pizza until the summer after fourth year when he and Draco went to stay with Blaise at his mother's villa just outside of Naples. Pineapples on pizza is not done in Naples, which also has the world's best pizza in my humble opinion. So he didn't try it until he was exploring Muggle London. After trying it, he's obsessed. He won't shut up about pineapples on pizza. He makes everyone try it - Blaise indulges him, but hates it, Pansy fights him on it, but finds she likes it, and Draco enjoys it, but tries to keep that a secret so Theo wasn't right

YOU ARE THE BEST! I usually write in the evenings after work if I can. I have a big monitor and a comfy office chair and noise cancelling headphones (which are the best thing ever). I typically get into the zone by making tea, cranking up really chaotic indie, and writing for a few hours. Sometimes in sprints, sometimes just writing by myself. I've been trying dictation lately, which has been helpful for writing things that aren't as fleshed out in the brain.
But also I try not to feel bad if I don't write - sometimes you need to eat junk food and watch GBBO

HELLO MY FRIEND! It was my first idea - my first fic is this very melancholy Halloween one shot. But as for Lion & Wolf - I had read what felt like every big name Dramione fic May-October 2020 and loved Theo. I wanted a fic that made Hermione his secret sibling and to do a mystery around how that came to be. I'd read a few fics that had Hermione as a Nott, but nothing that had the idea/sibling relationship/vibes I wanted. So I wrote it instead!

This could def count! In Lion & Wolf I have Draco allude to Theo having a bit of a breakdown about asking a girl to the Yule Ball and going into a poetry phase. So that might be up there too

This is true, I have a terrible problem with too many ideas.

Fic ideas I will never write: Harry saying goodbye to Mrs Weasley on her deathbed one shot, Ginny's bogart being Tom whispering things in her ear, Hermione killing Blaise in a one shot inspired by the song no body, no crime (the only recent Tswift song I like), and so many more depressing ones

Fic ideas I can't make work: There are a few here, but the one that disappoints me the most is a Remus/Hermione time traveling Hermione and Harry fic where they stop Voldemort in the first war....with Harry/Regulus.

Thank you for saying all this!! This question is topical with my too many ideas problem! I had a bunch of different options that I was bouncing around with some friends and then the dream idea struck - I could do all the ideas! A bunch of scenarios got cut though (like Pansy the ballerina in NYC/Lavender the lifestyle reporter). @ctt ll JT at Kylee helped me with dreaming up the idea and her dream dramione fic (https://archiveofourown.org/works/27387721) is a great one! The writers guild was also SO helpful in working through the dreams vs reality aspect. As far as plot, I had a general ending, but then Theo walked in (as he sometimes does in my brain) and it changed a bit. But I am so happy with/proud of that fic! It is my second favorite after Lion & Wolf!

I have a sleeping beauty AU idea for Tonks/REDACTED, if that is what you're talking about! But I am trying to finish 2/3 of my long fic WIPs before I post anything longer than a one shot

If anyone wants to try writing femslash, please please PLEASE go for it!!! Writing femslash is no different from het or slash or gen - people just want stories about the characters they love! I will say, shooting for something not E-rated (if it is a one shot) would be much appreciated as sometimes it feels like there is more PWP femslash than plot-driven. A balance is good! So, just jumping in and writing would be my advice

I would probably say most of the above!! Like my Dramione one shot Firewhiskey Fever has a scene in a bar very inspired by Stupid Crazy Love, or my Fremione one shot Never Getting Rid of Me, Granger is based off a song from the musical waitress (the song “Never Ever Getting Rid Of Me” because the part about naming a cat after a kind of fish reminded me of Fred and it grew from there). Other fics can def influence me in terms of new pairings or general concepts, which is always fun

I had to go find it. I got this on my first multi-chapter fic that I finished, Chestnuts Roasting Over the Open Firewhiskey:
"It's ridiculous how much I love this story, I saw the new chapter email and made myself a hot chocalate and settled in to read it, totally ignoring the fact that I'm supposed to be in a class online right now. Being able to take a break during my school day is one of the very few bright spots during covid and having to do online learning right now. Thanks for the Dramione rush your update just gave me :)"

This honestly made me SO absurdly happy when I got it because COVID was also making me so down and here was someone saying that I made them happy!!! Plus I was still very new to writing fic at this point. This fic is not my best - I reread it recently and there are so many things I would do differently now. But it still distracted someone from the gloom!!! Which to me is SO encouraging - you can be anywhere with your writing and still make other people smile.

I have been very lucky to have received many kind comments though! On the flip side, I do save any of the (few) nasty comments I get that make me laugh. Here is my absolute favorite on my fluffy drabble collection: "Found better fluff in my dustbuster. This be weird shit!"

I DO LOVE FLOWERS! Favorites that I currently have are probably roses or dahlias! I'm hoping to plant a veggie garden next year! So a little less beautiful, but more functional. I have a mini herb garden inside, but think a container garden would be great fun

Oh these are great questions. I am probably a bad influence for writer's block or getting stuck on my plot - if I have an issue, I jump around either to a different part of that fic or I work on another fic. I currently have a WIP that has the second half written, but I am stuck getting through the next two chapters that are meant to be published. I've included characters when they've popped up, but have never had to make any significant changes to a story idea because characters decided to do something else

EVER is tough. I found fanfic when I was in middle school because I wanted Raven/Beast Boy from Teen Titans to be together!! I read a little bit in middle school and into high school. As far as rediscovering it in pandemic times, I fell back into it through Zutara (ATLA) fanfic. I'm not sure what the first was there either, but I jumped from Zutara to Dramione and the rest is history
